2021 Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health in Washington Series Briefs
As part of Washington’s continued commitment to ensure equal and fair education to all children, the department of education issued a series of briefs to help illustrate and improve mental health. IECMH (Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health) is the capacity of children ages 0–5 to experience, express, and regulate emotions, to form close relationships with peers and adult caregivers, and to explore and learn in the context of family, community, and cultural expectations. It was important for the design to reflect inclusivity and diversity in prenatal to 5 year old populations.
